This app is based on a program originally developed by Maciej Wikarski, Qi Zhang, and Shunjiro Yatsuzuka during the Le Wagon Data Science course.
How It Works

Common Conditions
Filling
- A dental procedure to restore a tooth damaged by decay
- Prevents further progression of caries and restores tooth function
Root Piece
- A fragment of a tooth root left in the bone after breakage or incomplete extraction
- Can lead to infection and usually requires removal
Caries
- A bacterial disease that causes demineralization of enamel and dentin
- If untreated, it can lead to pain, infection, and tooth loss
Crown
- A fixed prosthetic cap placed over a natural tooth
- Used for large cavities, after root canal treatment, or for aesthetic purposes
Root Canal Treatment
- A procedure to remove infected or damaged pulp from root canals
- Canals are cleaned, disinfected, and filled to prevent reinfection
Impacted Tooth
- A tooth that fails to fully erupt and remains partially or completely in the bone
- Most often affects wisdom teeth and may cause pain, pressure, or inflammation
